Friction and Lubrication Engineers by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE).
The Association of Friction and Lubrication Engineers is a technical organization composed of research, development,
and marketing experts, with less than 200 engineers and scientists worldwide holding the title of academician.

The elite academicians of the Association of Tribology and Lubrication Engineers have achieved significant achievements
in the fields of tribology and lubrication engineering, with over 20 years of professional experience.
In 1999, Evans began his career as an intern at Timken Company. Afterwards, he held increasingly important positions,
including leading the company's tribology strategy and development projects.
In 2018, he took up his current position as the Global Research and Development Director at Timken Corporation. In his
career, he has published over 44 research papers and developed 14 patents.
Evans' contribution helped Timken Company successfully win the prestigious R&D 100 Award, be selected for the Global
Most Innovative Companies list by Fast Company magazine, and be named one of the most innovative companies in the
United States by Fortune magazine.
Since 2012, Evans has held multiple executive and committee member positions at the Society of Friction and Lubrication
Engineers, including serving as chairman from 2022 to 2023. Evans holds a Master's and PhD in Chemical Engineering from
Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Akron University.
